The Butterfly House in Saint Louis, Missouri
Isn't it unreal? I'm very happy with my new camera.
The kids and I took G.G. (my mom, their Grammy) to Steak n Shake for lunch and then visited the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House.
Mom loves flowers and butterflies and the kids could be kept occupied with the fascinating exhibits.
Boo is an insect expert (along with being an animal expert ) and was siting facts here and there about various bugs, especially spiders. I was so proud of him.
Pinky, well, she just couldn't help herself! She is a butterfly chaser, flower picker, trod off the beaten path kinda girl. We barely got to look at the butterflies!
But I did get lovely pictures, go to my flickr to check out a few more photos.
I have had a buuuu-ssssy week: 100 pendants in the last 5 days through Etsy, 25 pendant/ring wholesale order, and 2 awesome consignment deals. It is so easy to get lost in the business.
There must be 6 huge loads of laundry in various stages between dirty and foldedbutnotputaway.
I did however just get an official notice from my husband as to what Mother's day would be about.
They (my Poppy and my husband) got a reservation and a $100 gift card for Macaroni Grill for my Mom, my sister and I to enjoy on Sunday, while they watch the kids (4 kids - 6 & under) with NO TIME LIMITATIONS!
A day full of possibilities! What would you do?

ReplyDeleteIf I had a free day, I probably would not make any plans for it, just go with the flow...and certainly not doing anything I should!

What a wonderful Mother's Day present! Wow! How very thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a day full of possibilities, I would probably go and sit at a coffee house and read, after a nice thrift shopping expedition! Sounds lovely!
Have fun! :)
What fun, your butterfly looks more turquoisy or bluey but that may be the camera. I love your photo, our butterfly would not sit still for a second!
