Black hearted.

No, not really.
:)
I'm still as sappy as ever with my heart on my sleeve.
I just like the distressed black over copper.
Like a scraped up frying pan.

An aside, I didn't like valentine's day this year.
But the family made it fun with roses and chocolates and silly heart socks from Matsuka.
Sooooooooo,
I went and saw a movie.
Kinda pissed off I didn't have a date but then it was cool because it was a..........................
GHOST STORY!
With an adorable Daniel Radcliff looking right mournfully delicious in those tailored 1800 blouses and high waist-ed trousers.

So then I chatted with my mama and fell asleep with images of ivy covered stone walls and foggy evenings with pretty boys floating in my head.
Perfect for my mood.

Did you hear?

James Mcavoy is going to be in the next X-Men movie. He is cast as a young Charles Xavier.

This almost makes up for the fact that I will not get to see Wolverine with his shirt off.

You just can't go wrong in head to toe black, feathers and sequins.

As someone who would most likely break both ankles immediately upon stepping out onto an ice rink, I have always been in awe of figure skating. The woman's is undeniably beautiful, but the men's is exciting; a fascinating mixture of athletic skill, dance, feminine costuming and powerful leaps.
I favor the short program as my attention tends to wander during the long, however, Evan Lysacek kept me riveted during both his programs and a crush soon followed.
I think I'm growing up.
In 2006, it was Shaun White. That wild child.
I've always had a thing for red heads but this guy was like the poster boy for all those loser skater boys that grew up and made something out of themselves when no one thought they would.
And of whom I am still very, very proud of.

Total U.S. medals so far; 20
We are so awesome!!!!

(This is not to alienate my international friends at all. It's just that with our school system failing to educate, our divorce rate higher then ever and our crime rate at a sickening level, we have to have some pride in something.)

Dear James,

I was enthralled. The movie was not worth watching if you were not on screen. The ugly troll-like dude would pay for what he did to your poor little fawn leg and The White Witch would die a thousand horrible deaths for turning you to stone like that .

You had me at the brown paper package dropping.

Deeply impressed with Becoming Jane. I had awarded you with the uber special Shannon's Not Easily Impressed Award.

VERY prestigious.

You had replaced all other crushes with Atonement.

(I like libraries too.)

I tolerated this because it was a very dashing vest and pant ensemble.

And your hand is very elegant.

But this simply will not do. You are going in the wrong direction.

You've seen the new Twilight movie, yes?

You could very easily be replaced.
I will hold off on judging until the new Star Trek movie comes out.

You've been warned,
Shannon
