Lake Norfork, Arkansas

I took time off! I did!
It was really hard to come to a stopping point, I left with people waiting to hear from me, invoices needing to be sent, chains still being developed and left unsealed, bangles forged and left unwrapped. But I had to just stop. There seemed to be no end and I felt as if I was going crazy. Mike said to leave the store open, but it felt weird. So I thought once I arrived at our destination I would place the shop in vacation mode. But I couldn't get a connection so it was all left open!
Customers were like "What's UP?"
Tutorials needed to be sent, orders acknowledged and convos answered but I couldn't! It was so frustrating.

 So I went boating, haha!
We rented a pontoon boat and a big tube and flew over the water at 30 mph. I laughed and screamed and admired my golden husband driving the boat, comforted kiddos that wiped out so completely that they lost their swim suit bottoms in the lake and burnt my forgotten forehead to a crisp. I ate fried seafood until I felt sick, took a nap for the first time in months and debated education with my mother-n-law.
My son caught his first rainbow trout and my daughter got 4 pairs of new shoes from her generous grandma.
It was awesome.

Fortunately when I came back and explained to everyone, they were understanding and I was able to complete the business that had been left undone. But next time, I am closing the shop completely with a day to spare so I do not worry while I enjoy some much needed vacationing.

  1. If you need it, take it. You're things are so good, that anyone would wait a couple days to get them. :) I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation and spent some much needed time with your kiddos.
