Shannon, Love your Mom's studio! Thank you for the information on Clear Guard. If you want to protect a piece with stones in it would the Clear Guard be safe in that scenario? Thanks.
Shannon, I love your videos and how your personality just shines through! In one of your other videos you mention being a 'dork' and it's so funny cause that's what I'm always telling my sister that I am (and I'm pretty proud of it, too!) :) Thanks for the info on the clear guard - good info to know! I like that you mention wearing respirator/lung protection (mask) to protect your lungs, etc. I'm in the Indoor Air Quality business and so "That's my business!" and you need to protect you 'breath' just like you'd protect your eyes from flying silver parts!! Great video!
You are seriously gorgeous! I loved being able to hear your voice :) Thanks for the update on product, I will be sure to order some when I am ready for my next can! <3
Thank you, Shannon, for that informative video. I'm new to metal-working and jewelry making. I've learned so much from your blog. Thank you for sharing your expertise! I finally shelled out the money and bought a pint of Pemalac for dipping small copper pieces. I was wondering if you have any tips for dipping small pieces of metal and washers in sealer. I haven't been able to come up with a good system. Any ideas.....?
Thank you for the review of the Clear Guard; I've seen it advertised and had wondered if it could be as good as the Permalac. I've still got a bit of Permalac left, but I'm definitely going to try the Clear Guard when I run out. You're absolutely right about Permalac being cost prohibitive, the darned stuff should be made with gold it's so expensive.
Shannon, I love your videos! Hope you keep 'em coming :) By the way, you are so beautiful and absolutely awesome, not to mention amazingly talented, and I consider you one of my personal heros! Rock on sister!
I concur Marie...its so awesome to hear your sweet voice..it's like getting to know you personally......love these videos...keepem...a unique way to blog..I enjoy them very much...not sure if you got my message...but I got my lovelies...everything is amazing as usual..thanks for the little extra and the headpins are awesome....luv u hunny bunchins....xox
I purchased clear guard because of this review. I just used it on my jewelry and it made a powdery mess, totally dulling it. I had to sand it all off. Can you help me understand what's up?
Great info! Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great place to work...surrounded by beautiful murals. :)
thanks for the information shannon - great video!
ReplyDeleteGreat video Shannon - I still have some of my Permalac left, but when I run out, I'll stop by for some of the new sealant.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this review. Although I haven't gotten into patinas yet, now I'll know what to use as a sealant when I do.
ReplyDeleteLooking to buy my first can of sealer.....timely video!
