With naming my new pieces. I'm stuck.
Eva said "medieval" and I was thinking "ancient" something or other. But I'm not sure where to go with that.
Should I upload to flickr so you can suggest names? Would you all be so kind?
These are the words that are floating around in the unoccupied space of my head;
snippet
rustic
ancient
medieval
relic
liquid
benthic
The River Schelde
tidepool
"haunting","foundry" were two words that came to mind when I was looking at the Flickr pics.
ReplyDeleteI like "relic" and "ancient" too.
"Medieval" reminds me of Ren. Faire pewter for some reason.
And now I am thinking "Avalon" but in the Camelot sense, not the Jersey beach sense. But that skews a little in the Ren Faire direction too. as I suppose any reference to Morgan le Fay (sp?) would, but now I cannot stop thinking of her.
Maybe Lady of the Mist? Have I just gone off the deep end?!
I love the new pieces, BTW.
ReplyDeleteOoo, I like Lady of the Mist. And Avalon. That's a great song and album by Roxy Music too.
ReplyDeleteYou could call one of them Guinevere, or use names out of Shakespeare and Camelot. Gosh, the field is wide open! Then there's Maid Marion....
Good luck!!
I'm terrible when it comes to naming my pieces, so I won't be of any help here...but I do LOVE Lady of the Mist....what a timeless piece.
ReplyDeleteOh this is good!
ReplyDeleteYou have totally come through for me!
Thank you!
I like the word liquid you suggested, because of the flowing downward quality of the flowers, like liquid blossoms, suspended blooms.
ReplyDeleteYou work is truly beautiful, I was looking at your flickr site and your creations and photos are really thoughtful. Inspirational stuff!
