I shot a few pixs of the kitchen where I have taken over every available inch of table top/counter space to create my goal of 100 pieces to send off to one of my favorite handmade markets.
Here is the kitchen table;
I am working with a plethora of hammered ear wires.
(That is a feel good word to say; Plethora. It rolls off the tongue.)
Here is a close up of antiqued sterling silver;
And the counter island where the completed pieces go to get ready for presentation;
My mama cut a ton of pretty paper tags for me and I got lost in choosing the perfect one for each piece of jewelry. I named this collection Ancient Treasures. I was in a hurry and lacking creative vocabulary.
The timing is awful, I have so many orders to work on right now and shipping is running about 3 days but it felt really, really, REALLY good to just sit down and make jewelry.
I wish you were here. I have to listen to Mike go on and on about football.
I can clear off a space of about 1 square foot, but you can use all my tools.
I'm on my way. Beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteOK I am on my way! (I so wish) We can sit and chat over Pumpkin Spice coffee and play with all that goodness!
ReplyDeleteHugs
I so wish I were there, I know nothing about football...you AMAZE me!
ReplyDeleteI know that you have stuff everywhere, but have to say, looks like great fun! Your pieces look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm on way, put on the teapot.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help you, but I'll keep sending you good vibes.
HOLY CRAP. It would take me a year to make that much stuff. And it all looks gorgeous. You got back in line like 10 times when God was handing out the mojo.
ReplyDeleteI am soooo there! Everything looks so wonderful and fun to play with! Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeletei am coming too - don't need any space of my own, just want to watch you work! i feel as if i shake my head in wonder every time i come here - how you do it, i don't know? but i admire you deeply...
ReplyDeletebest luck - i know that they will all move well...
100 pieces? incredible...
just saw what keirsten wrote - i agree..
That looks like my basement sweat shop, er, I mean, studio right about now. And you better not be kidding about the coming over part and using your tools. Because if it weren't for this dang distance thing I would be so right there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!

Football? Eee Gads, no one should have to endure that ;-) My dining room looks kind of like your kitchen, only not as organized.

Pull up another chair for me! Wow, you are one busy artist.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Shannon. I'm sure you're going to sell tons and tons ... perfect Christmas presents!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join you - and your work space is really, really intriguing and inspiring. Good luck - I hope you sell every single piece!
ReplyDeleteoh, I get chills just looking at all this! Everything is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't take up any space. I'd make myself a cuppa and then stand and look at all of your beautiful pieces whilst making 'ooh and ahh' type noises. If you can handle that, I'm be right over :)
ReplyDeleteGreat motivation you have there!
ReplyDeleteWow! 100 pieces...I wish I was there too. I'd love to jump right in and help you meet your goal.
ReplyDeleteLet's see...if I drive 65 mph from Vegas to your home studio...it should take me a day and a half to get there. Have the coffee perking!
ReplyDeleteIf you can teach me how to work like that, I will be there tonight! This morning, I wanted to make a necklace to wear to work today. I thought with 45 minutes, no problem. 45 minutes later, I had exactly 3 beads put together on a wire. I hope the cats will leave everything where I left it, so that I can pick up where I left off when I get home.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on husbands and football. I'd bring mine with me, but the way he talks back to the announcers and the refs, you'd have to send the kids to the neighbors' house.
I love how you use different papers for your jewelry! I don't do that and wish I had time to!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all your work laid out like that! Makes me realize I better get to doing something similar with all the stuff I've got piling up around here. Almost laughed when I read about your mom cutting the tags for you. Been thinking of making something similar with patterned cardstock only mine are going to be more of a folded card thingy. Never thought of getting someone to cut them for me. Thinking my 14yo daughter will be perfect for the job!
ReplyDeleteWhat Joy! Ill be right over at 7 tonite! Sure would love that too Shannon! ox
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow. You've got a lot of stuff there :)
