Time to Consign

I shot a few pixs of the kitchen where I have taken over every available inch of table top/counter space to create my goal of 100 pieces to send off to one of my favorite handmade markets.

Here is the kitchen table;

I am working with a plethora of hammered ear wires.
(That is a feel good word to say; Plethora. It rolls off the tongue.)
Here is a close up of antiqued sterling silver;

And the counter island where the completed pieces go to get ready for presentation;
 My mama cut a ton of pretty paper tags for me and I got lost in choosing the perfect one for each piece of jewelry. I named this collection Ancient Treasures. I was in a hurry and lacking creative vocabulary.
The timing is awful, I have so many orders to work on right now and shipping is running about 3 days but it felt really, really, REALLY good to just sit down and make jewelry.
I wish you were here. I have to listen to Mike go on and on about football.
I can clear off a space of about 1 square foot, but you can use all my tools.

  8. That looks like my basement sweat shop, er, I mean, studio right about now. And you better not be kidding about the coming over part and using your tools. Because if it weren't for this dang distance thing I would be so right there.

    Enjoy the day!

  18. I wouldn't take up any space. I'd make myself a cuppa and then stand and look at all of your beautiful pieces whilst making 'ooh and ahh' type noises. If you can handle that, I'm be right over :)

  21. If you can teach me how to work like that, I will be there tonight! This morning, I wanted to make a necklace to wear to work today. I thought with 45 minutes, no problem. 45 minutes later, I had exactly 3 beads put together on a wire. I hope the cats will leave everything where I left it, so that I can pick up where I left off when I get home.

    I'm with you on husbands and football. I'd bring mine with me, but the way he talks back to the announcers and the refs, you'd have to send the kids to the neighbors' house.

  23. Love seeing all your work laid out like that! Makes me realize I better get to doing something similar with all the stuff I've got piling up around here. Almost laughed when I read about your mom cutting the tags for you. Been thinking of making something similar with patterned cardstock only mine are going to be more of a folded card thingy. Never thought of getting someone to cut them for me. Thinking my 14yo daughter will be perfect for the job!
